Minister: Russia’s digital economy to evolve, get omnipresent
CHELYABINSK, Jun 15 (PRIME) -- The digital economy will evolve more and more in Russia, penetrating all industries, including medicine, education and transport, Digital Development Minister Konstantin Noskov said on Friday.
“We should actively go in this direction by creating all the conditions…We should speak about the elaboration of new platforms, standards…When working on the text of the national program (on the digital economy) we were governed by the May decrees (by President Vladimir Putin). There are 17 directions, including nine industry ones, and these are main branches: medicine, education, transport, including logistics,” Noskov said.
The process of digitization is well in progress, the minister said, adding that the government’s role in the development of digital technologies is of a coordinating nature, which means that mutually advantageous effects should be demonstrated to business.
“It is not a digital transformation for the sake of ‘digit’, we speak about improvement of people’s life,” the minister said.
